Guys, thank you so much for tuning in today and we are continuing our series for my dream cars. So we are basically going through and building out my dream car garage. Right now we are on the Nissan Skyline GT-R R34.
Now I have been a fan of the R34 and even, you know, who am I kidding, the R33 for a long time. I think the R34 is just one of those cars that is iconic for about every car guy, especially when the second Fast and Furious came out and, you know, Paul Walker’s driving that wide body silver GT-R, especially like the beginning, the, what was it called, the prelude, the supercharged prelude or whatever they named that beginning part to Too Fast Too Furious. That silver wide body R34 was just so right and I think it attached to the heart of about every car guy, including me.
And if I were to do one, that’s exactly how it would be done. It would be, it would have that wide body BIS body kit. I mean, that is, that car was just done perfect.
Not only, not only for the movie, but, you know, whenever anyone replicates that car, it’s just, it’s perfect. And then I would even want an R33 GT-R in that collection as well. So I would have both a R34 Skyline GT-R as well as the R33 Skyline GT-R.
And what’s really crazy is the price difference between the R33 GT-R and the R34 GT-R. You know, the R33 is, I think it’s slept on. I mean, they’re literally half the price.
So for half the price of a R34 Skyline GT-R, you can get the R33 Skyline GT-R, which, yeah, I mean, I just, I think the R34 and the R33 are, it’d be similarly priced because they’re both just such good cars. But regardless, both of them are awesome, awesome cars. Next up on the list of cars that I would love to own someday would be a McLaren 675LT.
Now I’ve always been a huge fan of the McLaren. I’ve always been a huge fan of the way that McLaren built their cars. And this 675LT specifically, I think is one of the best looking cars ever made.
I really do. I think it’s one of the hottest looking cars ever made. I think that, especially if you can get the roof scoop with an MSO paint color, I mean, you just, you can’t go wrong with it.
I think that if I were to get one, spec it out however I wanted, it would be purple with a green interior and green accents. And whether you’re getting a MP4-12C, a 765, or 675, or 650LT, or 650S, I think that whole generation of McLaren is one of the best looking cars ever. And they are so wicked fast.
I mean, those cars were doing 230 miles an hour in a very short amount of time. It did not take long at all for those cars to be able to hit, you know, 230 plus miles an hour. So, as far as, I really think that the McLaren 675LT is truly one of the best cars ever made.
They look absolutely sinister in the right color. I have been lucky enough to drive a McLaren 650S, which is a tuned down version of the 675LT. Doesn’t have quite as stiff of a chassis as the 675LT has, but it’s got a few less horsepower and is still that wide-body 12C chassis, which is a good looking car.
But they are very, very rigid. They’re very stiff, and they are wicked fast. The transmission that McLaren put in those cars, they have a DCT dual clutch transmission, and the way that those cars are able to build boost with an automatic DCT transmission is very unique.
Never driven a car with turbos like that before and had zero, zero turbo lag. None. And because they’re all-wheel drive, man, I mean, they just, they hook up and they go.
They want to go. They don’t want to sit stationary. So, that is definitely one of the cars on my list.
