Hello Kansas City and welcome back to the Bespoke Automotive Refinement Podcast. You are with your favorite hosts, Averee and Thomas Thill. Now I know that you’ve been with Thomas over the last few weeks here because I have another company as well, Red Kingdom Cleaning, that I have a new podcast for and so we’ve divided and conquered.
But tonight we’re heading out on a date night and we’re driving in Thomas’s dream car. Like hey, let’s just talk about your favorite car and talk about all of your Kansas City Car Detailing services they performed on your car and what other Kansas City Car Detailing services that you could perform on other people’s dream cars and maybe any other Kansas City Car Detailing services they could perform on any just average car, a normal day-to-day driver like my Jeep that you’ve done lots of Kansas City Car Detailing services on in the past. So I’m going to be asking Thomas some questions about his dream car.
Thomas are you ready? I was born ready. Now I feel like this is something that maybe you could talk about for a minute or two. Do you think you could stretch it out for 10 minutes or so? I could talk about this car for as long as you wanted.
So you can ask me questions and I can probably explain the nuances a little bit better. Okay well I have 100 questions for you so try to keep them more succinct. Okay.
You ready? Yeah absolutely. What was your first reaction? Actually I’m going to start with this other one. What did you buy and why? I bought a 2006 Corvette Z06 which is the first year of the C6 Z06.
I bought this car one because I’ve owned this car once before so it’s very symbolic kind of feels like a full circle moment. I bought it this particular one because the 06 is the lightest one of all of them. It has the less the less amount of like technology and computers and like bougie interior stuff that you’d probably love.
But it’s lighter so it’s the fastest of all of the C6 Z06s. So that’s why I got an an 06 the first time and that’s why I opted to buy this one because it’s just it’s it’s the best car. Number two.
What was your first reaction when you bought it? Should we go off the first time I bought it or the second time I bought it? Both. Both. Okay.
The first time I bought this car was a very surreal moment. It kind of felt very like I don’t know too good to be true. This was the car when I was a little kid and I’d play like Need for Speed Most Wanted which is a video game.
This was like one of the last cars you got. Like this was like a car like you play the whole game and then you end up with one of these and I would always drive a yellow one. So it was very surreal that like the car that I played in a video game when I was eight.
I was driving in real life when I was 22. The second time I bought the car was a lot more emotional because of where my life had gone after I sold the car and how hard I had to work to get it back the second time. It feels like having a part of my personality back because this car was always like it was it was it was my personality.
So owning it having it back kind of feels like having an old friend back. Number three what other cars were you considering? Oh man um. I said I would I would put an addendum to that.
Considering. Still considering maybe because it you probably have a list as long as the equator around. So you probably go all day but like genuinely what are some other cars because we didn’t know if we would get this one.
Right. So if we didn’t end up with this one my first reaction was going to be to try to find another one. It wasn’t going to be a c606 at all.
I looked at a Nissan GTR as a little kid and I still want one. I still do want a GTR. I would just rather have this and a GTR because they’re two very different cars.
I drove it and it was very underwhelming. Why yellow? The same memory so far with this car. Since we bought it.
So if somebody is wanting to get a hold of you. Best way to get a hold of me.
