I dove deep into learning the ins and outs of ceramic coating when I first got into detailing and wasn’t pleased with the longevity of carnauba wax and spray waxes.
Guys, today we’re going to be talking about what are the different things that you can do with a ceramic coat other than a car? I mean, you hear people talk all the time about ceramic coating paint, ceramic coating wheels, but what are some other things that can be ceramic coated outside of just a car? And that’s what we’re going to be talking about today. Now, obviously, we are a Kansas City Auto detailing service, so we really only specialize in Kansas City Auto detailing packages. However, I personally have ceramic coated so many other things in my home other than the car in my garage.
So, let’s talk about it. Kitchen countertops, especially granite and quartz. You know, when you’re cooking a meal and something that’s a little bit moist gets on the countertop and it dries, and you’ve got to sit there and you’ve got to chip it off with your fingernail, and you’re worried about scratching that finish.
Ceramic coating your countertops, whether they’re granite, quartz, or even plastic, gives the countertop a slick finish so that things don’t stick to it. It makes it easier to keep clean and keeps it looking fresh and new. This is just one of the many things that you can have a ceramic coat other than a Kansas City Auto detailing vehicle.
Next, our bathroom mirrors. Yes, you 100% can ceramic coat a mirror. That’s right.
We all know what it’s like to have a bathroom mirror where we’re spitting in the sink in the morning after brushing our teeth, and over time, you start getting those little toothpaste specks all over your mirror, and when you go to clean it, sometimes they don’t wipe off very easily. Well, ceramic coating can make it to where you can literally wipe it off with a paper towel, and it’s gone, and it doesn’t smear. It doesn’t stick. Ceramic Coating is extremely hydrophobic and repels sticky substances and leaves the surface extremely slick and reduces streaking and smearing surfaces.
It’s completely clean. The next thing that you can do with a ceramic coat, and honestly one of my favorite things to do with a ceramic coat, are shower glass doors. I remember as a little kid going to my grandpa’s house, and we called him the shower Nazi.
Whenever we would take a shower at his house, and we would go to get out of the shower, the first thing he would say is, did you squeegee the shower glass? Well, as an adult, I don’t have to squeegee the shower glass, because I ceramic coat my shower glass, so all I have to do is get out of the shower, dry myself off, go on with my day, and that shower glass dries, and it does not water spot. Now, obviously, we’re a Kansas City auto detailing service, and we don’t necessarily offer these things, but these are one of the many things that ceramic coating can do in your household. The next thing that you can ceramic coat, and this one really blows people’s minds, are exterior and interior home glass.
As you know, you pay a lot of money for glass and windows in your home. Well, why not protect them? Why not protect them from smudges and chipping and rotting and etchings over time? I always recommend that clients ceramic coat their glass of their home, because obviously, over time, your glass begins to fade, and it begins to lose that glossy look that it had when you first moved into your home. Guys, these are some of the many things that you can ceramic coat outside of a car.
