So today we’re gonna be going through car and drivers best luxury sports cars.

Now they have arrived at these results through their extensive instrumented test of several hundred vehicles each year. And each vehicle goes through roughly a 200 data points encompassing acceleration, handling, comfort, cargo space, fuel efficiency, value, and how enjoyable it is to drive. I’m so excited to go through this list with you, Thomas, and kind of hear your thoughts on the best luxury sports cars.

I am pumped. Number one, right off the bat, we have the 2025 Chevrolet Corvette E-Ray. Now it says it starts at about $108,000.

What are your thoughts on this 655 horsepower Corvette? I hate the E-Ray. Do not like the E- Ray? I hate it. But you’re a Corvette guy.

I am a Corvette guy and that’s why I don’t like the E-Ray. The E-Ray is like your Jeep. It’s a hybrid.

What are you saying about my Jeep? I hate it. You hate my Jeep? I like your Jeep. We’re finally getting to the root.

I just don’t like electric cars. Like, I never will. There will never be a point where I find an electric vehicle cool.

You know, things like the Porsche 918 Spyder or the McLaren P1 or the Ferrari LaFerrari. I think there’s a place for those in being a car enthusiasts. I just don’t like hybrids.

So then number two, we have the 2025 Chevrolet Corvette Z06. What are your thoughts on this $113,000 Corvette? It is the best car ever made. Do you like the C6 Z06? Actually, this is a C6.

That’s a C8 Z06, but I think all Z06s are just, they literally take a Corvette, which is already an awesome car. Like, I make fun of base models, but Corvettes, there isn’t a bad one. Like, if you buy a base model Corvette, you’re still getting an entry-level supercar.

And then they take the Z06 and they make it a supercar killer. That car will beat a Lamborghini Huracan, a Ferrari SF90. Like, they are just for a fraction of the price.

Like, they are, I love them. Number three, we have the 2025 Porsche 911. This is another favorite of yours.

I love the 911. I know that, like, the base 911s and the Carrera 2s and Carrera 4s and the 4Ss are now coming with a twin turbo, which I don’t really understand because then what is the 911 turbo? They’re saying, well, if the base model 911 is a turbo, but the 911 turbo is also a turbo. I don’t really get that.

So these newer Porsche 911s, I’m still kind of trying to figure out all of the different models, but like the 991 GT2 RS, the 991 Turbo S and GT3 RS and 911 Touring, those are all just great cars and I love them. I love 911s. Next up, we have the 2025 Porsche 911 Turbo.

Best car ever made. It is the best, like I said in the last podcast, the 911 Turbo is like the perfect one-car solution because it just does everything. It’s a supercar that you can drive every day.
I love them. I love that and they’re beautiful looking. Next up, man, we’re just crushing it with the Porsches.

Number five, is a Porsche 911 GT3 or a Porsche 911 GT3 RS? I love the GT3 RS. I’ve been lucky enough to drive quite a few of them. I’ve driven them on the track and I’ve driven them on the street.

I love them because I love rigid sports cars that have a rough ride, which is why some people actually don’t like the Z06 and they don’t like the GT3 RS because they’re very stiff. You know, they have a very rough ride to them, but you feel everything. They’re very analog and so I love them.

You can’t really daily drive a GT3 RS, especially in Missouri where it snows, but still one of the best sports cars ever made. Number six, we have the 2025 McLaren Artura. I don’t like it.
I just, I don’t like the way they look. Everyone seems to be adding those to their car collections and I don’t like the Artura. I don’t know why.

Honestly, I think it looks too much like a C8 Corvette. Just my opinion. They’re copying it.
Yeah, like, which if you’re a McLaren, why are you gonna copy Corvette? Like, you’re supposed to be, you know, that’s a $250,000 car versus a $100,000 car. So I just, I don’t like them. Number seven, we have the 2025 Aston Martin Vantage.

Love them. I don’t think that you could ever go wrong with a Aston Martin Vantage, V8 Vantage or a V12 Vantage. They age really well.

I have a friend who, I have a number of friends who have Vantages that are 20 years old and they still look pretty new. So they just, they age really well and they sound so good. Number eight, we have the 2025 Maserati GranTurismo.

Personally, from what I’ve heard about the GranTurismo is that they’re extremely unreliable and they have a lot of problems. And I’ll, I love the way they look, but I’ll be hesitant to own one because of the nightmares that I’ve heard about other people who’ve owned them. Oh, really? Yeah.

They’re, I’ve heard that they’re pretty unreliable. Number nine, we have the 2026 Maserati GranTurismo Fulgore. They can put a cool word behind it, but it’s still an unreliable piece of crap.

That’s all I have to say. Last one, oh my goodness. Number 10, the 2025 Maserati GranCabrio Fulgore.

You know, they can put a fancy word behind it and cut the roof off of it, but it’s still an unreliable piece of crap. I just, I used to really want a Maserati GranTurismo that actually used to be one of my dream cars. And I don’t think Maserati as a whole is a bad brand, but I think that their entry-level cars like the GranTurismo are just, and like the Quattroporte, I think that they require the same level of quality and level of maintenance as a half million dollar Ferrari.

And I don’t think that’s acceptable on an entry-level supercar when you’re not paying supercar money. So if somebody wanted to talk cars with you further, how would they get ahold of you? You can get ahold of me at 620-282-0402. We can talk cars.
