Hello, Kansas City, welcome back to the Bespoke Refinement Podcast. We are your one-stop shop for all Kansas City car detailing services, Kansas City car detailing packages, and honestly, just everything cars. I love talking cars.
I love talking about how we make cars better, how we make cars look cleaner, and how to clean cars more efficiently, and honestly, just talking cars in general. It’s literally one of my favorite things of all time. Guys, today we are going to be talking about the best cars on the market for 2024.
So, what were the best cars in the year 2024? Well, first on the list is the Toyota GR86. I remember when I first started my Kansas City car detailing business when I was in high school. I actually about bought one of these.
It obviously wasn’t a 2024, and it wasn’t a Toyota GR86. It was Scion’s version of it, the Scion FR-S, basically the exact same thing. But yeah, I mean, great little car.
It’s like a go-kart for the street. They don’t make a whole lot of power, but they’re really fun. They’re really nimble.
They’re really agile and fragile, and they’re, you know what they say, smooth as fast. Up next is the Jaguar F-Type. Now, think about the Jaguar F-Type.
There’s so many variations to it. It’s kind of like the Porsche 911. You know, you can say Porsche 911.
Well, which one are you talking about? Are you talking about the base model? Are you talking about the turbo? Are you talking about the Carrera 4S? Are you talking about the GT3RS? Like, there’s so many different versions of the Porsche 911. But there’s also so many different versions of the Jaguar F-Type. So, but regardless, it is one of the best sports cars for the money, in my opinion.
Up next is the BMW Z4. I don’t know. Personally, I feel like the BMW Z4, if you’re going to spend the money, just get a Toyota Supra.
It’s basically the exact same car. Well, it is the exact same car, but it’s got a roof, so it’s going to be a lot more rigid. The chassis is going to be stiffer.
It’s still better for cornering and tracking and handling, but also, you’ve got the iconic name, Toyota Supra. Up next is the Audi S5. The thing about the S5, and I’m certainly intrigued by it, is the fact that it’s held on so long.
I remember when the S5 came out, I looked at buying an RS5, and I was shocked at how much money they were for the value, or for the, yeah, for the amount of power and all that, but man, I mean, I’m surprised that they’ve held on even to 2024. Up next on the list is the Audi RS5. Again, I mean, starting price at $71,000.
Yeah, I get it. I mean, they’re a great car, but they’re heavy. They’re big.
I don’t know, for $71,000, I’d rather spend a few more thousand and get a C8 Corvette or a used Porsche 911. Just my opinion, though. Up next is the Toyota Supra.
Yeah, you can’t go wrong with a Supra, especially if you get the turbo and you get the six-speed manual. I mean, the automatic’s obviously fast in a straight line, but manual transmission, yeah, can’t beat it. Number 11 on the list is the Subaru BRZ.
Don’t really know why they put this one on the list ahead of the Toyota GR86, because it’s the exact same car, but regardless, it belongs on the list for sure. Oh, the number 11 is the Mercedes-Benz AMG SL. It’s my understanding that this is actually the replacement of the SL63 or the SL55 AMG, and I gotta tell you, they missed the mark on this car.
I mean, if you go back and you look at what a SL55 AMG or an SL63 AMG and the SL65 AMG, what those cars looked like in the 2000s and what other cars looked like in the 2000s, that car looked like a supercar for the time that it came out. I saw one of these AMG SLs not that long ago on the road, and I was not impressed. Now, I drove a CLA55 AMG just the other day, and I was impressed with the power and how height the car felt, how loud the car was, but I don’t know.
I’m not a fan of the new AMG SL personally. All right, number 11 on the list is a BMW M4. BMW M4s have kind of caught my attention recently.
Not the newer version, but I would say the late 2010 models, like the 2016-2017 body style, have really captured my attention. I actually want one. I’ve kind of built one out in my head.
What I would do, carbon fiber lip kit all the way around, big wing, lowered, put a half cage in the back, wrap it some unique color, do some really cool color combo between the half cage and the calipers, and make it flow with the wrap of the car. I am a fan of the M4. I think it looks good.
I think it’s got a lot of potential, especially with the twin turbo V6. I mean, you do some tuning work on it, got a downpipe on. Actually, I did look into this.
Downpipe and a tune on that car and some bolt-ons, and you’ve got 600 horsepower, which is pretty good for a car that agile. So yeah, the BMW M4 definitely belongs on that list. Next up is the BMW 2 Series.
I gotta be honest, I don’t know a whole lot about these. I know a guy that does not like me, that I’m not really a big fan of either, just got a BMW M2 not that long ago. Not a brand new one.
It’s like three or four years old, and I don’t know, I just, I’m not a fan of the M2. I would rather have an M4 or an M3, but I also don’t know anything about the M2 and the 2 Series in general, so I could be way off the mark.
