Guys, we are the number one Kansas City car detailing service in our region and we are growing, we are expanding, and we are planning on taking over the Kansas City car detailing world. So guys, on the first part of the series that we started, we were talking about a perfect two-car solution. Okay, so I’m going based off of where I live.
We live in Missouri where we get really hot summers, really beautiful summers, awesome springs, beautiful falls, and then we get a ton of cold weather and really just a lot of snow in the winter time. And I’m not a fan of it, but I think we’re stuck here. So on the two-car solution, the wintertime car, I chose a 2008 to 2010 Subaru Impreza WRX STI, a Audi RS6, like an early 2000s Audi RS6, and then I also chose a Mercedes-Benz E55 AMG.
So now that we have the winter car figured out, we have to figure out our summer car. Well, there’s a couple of different nuances that we have to figure out. I will say just as a whole, I’m going to pick my first car because it is the car that I’m actively looking for right now.
Been looking for one for a little while and trying to find the right specs so we can close a deal on one here maybe in the next couple of weeks. But it would be a C7 Corvette Z06. So Z06 was made from 2015 to 2019.
It’s the C7 body style. I think that’s the ultimate summer car. I’ve had four other Corvettes, two of them were Z06s, and I’m a firm believer that it’s the best bang-for-buck car you can get.
They’re fast, they’re rowdy, they’re reliable. You can literally drive them anywhere and never have to worry about reliability with a Corvette. So just as a whole, since I’m actively looking for one of those right now, that is definitely one of the cars on the summer list.
But another car that I had in mind would be a mid-2010, so like a 2015, 16, or 17 Shelby GT350. Now although I’m not really a Mustang guy at heart, I do love them. I grew up in a Mustang family.
My dad had Mustangs, my mom had Mustangs, my grandpa had Mustangs. I’m sure realistically at some point I will have a Mustang, and I do think one of the best looking cars that has been released to the public by Ford was the S550 Shelby GT350. I think it looks good.
I think the flat plane crank V8 just sounds visceral. And I mean think about it, like it’s a track car Mustang. Six-speed manual transmission, 526 horsepower.
It’s an animal of a car. And you know, you can take one to the track, you can race them, you can do drag racing with them. I don’t think you can go wrong with that car at all.
And it would definitely be one in the summertime list of the two-car solution. The final car on my list would be a first generation Audi R8 V10. You gotta clarify, I have to clarify, it would have to be a V10 R8.
I don’t like the idea of a V8 Audi R8. I know people who have had one of my really good friends actually bought one, blew the motor, took him two years to try to find a replacement engine for it. He actually had the car longer with a blown engine than he did with it running and driving because he couldn’t find a replacement engine for it.
So yeah, to be honest, that’s not very appealing to me. But the V10, you’re literally getting a Huracan, a Lamborghini Huracan V10 with the Audi R8. You can get it in a six-speed manual transmission or you can obviously go with the automatic.
But I am a firm believer that the Audi R8, the first generation Audi R8, is one of the best looking supercars ever made. It’s got that wide rear end with that beautiful black valance that runs across the whole back bumper, especially if you get one in the carbon series. I mean, they’re just, I’m looking at a picture of one right now.
It is one of my dream cars for sure. I do love the Audi R8.
