Hello, Kansas City area. Welcome back to the Bespoke Automotive Refinement podcast, the premier Kansas City Car Detailing business. We are so excited that you joined us today.

Today is going to be a little bit of a hot topic. Things are going to get a little heated, but today I have Thomas Till with us to join me in an argument.

Are you ready?

I’m ready.

All right. I am going to formulate a conversation, an argument, and see kind of where we go from there. Are you ready?

Okay. This is new. Yeah. Let’s try it.

Let’s try it. I’m just going to state that I think Corvettes are stupid.

Do you have a thesis behind this statement?

I just think that if things go down in the world, politically, globally, whatever, it’s not a Corvette that’s going to get you to that far away place of safety. It’s going to be an F250 somewhere in a lifted, maybe a Jeep Wrangler or something like that. That is truly the car that you need in your garage. Not a close to the ground vehicle.

All right. Let me paint a picture for you. So let’s say the world, society has collapsed and you are running from a… a… let’s say that there’s a foreign invasion, okay? Like Red Dawn type stuff.
And let’s say that you’ve got a Russian Humvee chasing you, shooting at you. Everything that your Jeep Wrangler or F250 can do, their highly capable off-road vehicle can also do. May actually be more capable.

Or Corvette would be more capable than a Jeep Wrangler.

A Corvette can outrun a light armored military vehicle and a heavy armored military vehicle. Now, depending on your color, you have that to play into effect. I mean, red, for example, if you have a bright red Jeep Wrangler and you’re trying to run away from a vehicle, from a hostile threat, well, you’re going to stick out like a sore thumb.

Now, if you had a black one, let’s say you had a black Corvette and you had a black Jeep Wrangler and you’re trying to get away. Nothing’s going to outrun a Corvette other than a helicopter or a fighter jet, which at that point you’re screwed anyways.

This is very true. So, at Bespoke Automotive Refinement, if you’re looking for Kansas City Car Detailing services, Bespoke Automotive Refinement is exactly what you’re looking for.
Do you judge between, say, somebody wants a truck done or a Corvette or an exotic car or a vintage car? Do you, outside of looking like I would for its apocalyptic capabilities, do you judge them for the type of vehicle that they so do choose to ride?

Not one bit. I appreciate every vehicle for everything that it serves, every purpose that it serves. So, obviously you don’t buy a Corvette to get away from a Russian invasion, right?

Typically, unless you are in that argument that you just stated there, they do drive away pretty quickly.

They do. You typically buy a Corvette if you want to go fast around a road course. You don’t want to spend $200,000 for something that has a ton of power and you don’t want to have to deal with the heavy maintenance of a supercar, of a foreign supercar, European supercar.
That’s why you buy a Corvette. Now, I appreciate Jeeps because I love off-roading. I love going down roads that are the roads less traveled.

Do you judge Jeep owners that do have ducks versus those that don’t have ducks? Do you have an automatic preconception of a person that does have ducks?

If I see a woman who’s driving a Jeep Wrangler and she has ducks, absolutely not. If I see a man driving a Jeep with ducks, I do judge them substantially.

But what if they’re manly ducks? Like if you were in the Kansas City Car Detailing Service Packages desired and they have a bunch of chief’s ducks on their dashboard. Would that be manly?

No.
No.

I wouldn’t judge them for it. I wouldn’t give them any flack for it. But in my heart, I would be like, well, this is weird.

When you detail a Jeep with ducks on them, do you have to remove the ducks in order to clean?

Yes.

Yes. Do you rearrange them just for fun?

Yes.

Now, to the same point, so Jeep owners have their stereotype, right? They’ve got ducks on the dash. Corvettes also have their stereotype.

So whenever I’m doing a Kansas City Car Detailing Service on a Corvette and I see that the owner is wearing jean shorts, a golf hat, and really high Reebok socks wearing New Balances, I also judge them because that is the stereotypical outfit of a Corvette owner.

Now, is that what you drive when you drive your Corvette? Do you get out your knee- high white socks and golf hat and jean shorts and get in your Corvette and drive away?

I don’t. That’s why I keep getting kicked out of Corvette clubs. I get kicked out of local Corvette clubs because I am the outlier.

Now, when I see people that put random chief stickers on their paint that can cause micro marring, sunspots, scratches. So stickers are bad? Yeah.

I mean, some stickers look good, you know, like on a modified car. Like if you’ve seen the movies, The Fast and the Furious, you know, they’ve got body kits and high wings and neon lights and they’re going for a certain look and they put stickers and decals on their cars that like make the car look good, that flow with the car. I don’t have a problem with that.

I actually kind of like that look because I grew up on those movies and I’m kind of a Fast and Furious kid. But when I see some random person putting a sticker of their favorite sports team on the passenger side door of their four-door sedan, that’s wrong.

Now, would you be okay if somebody put bespoke automotive refinement as number one sticker on the back bumper of the vehicle?

No, actually, if they did that, frankly, I would look at that person and I would say, look at this guy. This guy’s intelligent. This guy’s smart.
He clearly has good taste. He clearly has his priorities set straight. He knows that we are number one.

We are the number one Kansas City Car Detailing service.

Now, if somebody is looking to have you work on their vehicle, whether again, as you said, you do not judge if they have an apocalyptic van or they have a low-to-the-ground Ferrari, what do they need to do in order to get in contact with you?

Well, there’s two ways. You can go to www.bespokerefinement.com. You can book online.
You can view all of our different packages. I do prefer that people call me at 620-282- 0402. I love discussing the different packages that we offer and the different nuances of those packages.

A lot of times when people book online, they assume that they need X package when really the package that they need that would utilize their goals would be Y package. So, I always recommend people call me and book with me over the phone over on the website.

Now, if somebody just really loves cars and they just want to talk to somebody who also has a passion for cars, can they also call you about that?

You can literally call me anytime and just talk cars.

I mean, you don’t run out of things to talk about.

I literally have been talking about cars my entire life and I still have yet to get tired of it.

All right, one last question before we say adios. What is your all-time favorite car?

That’s a really good question.

You can only choose one.

I would choose a 2006 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 in velocity yellow with a white interior. And then number 48765.

That is highly specific.

That’s my car.

Oh, there you go. All right, Kansas City, if you are looking for a Kansas City Car Detailing package, please call Thomas today at 620-282-0402. We look forward to hearing from you.
