Hello, Kansas City, and welcome back to the Bespoke Automotive Refinement Podcast.
I am your host, Thomas Thill, and we are Kansas City’s number one car detailing, paint correction, and ceramic coating shop.
Guys, we are going to be continuing our segment today on Facebook Marketplace deals.
Today, we’re going to place our pin here. Babe, you lived in Franklin? Franklin. My wife used to live in Franklin. We’re going to go there and see what we can find.
Then we’re going to go to the first things that pull up as far as cars go, and we’re going to go through them.
2013 Chevy Corvette C6 Grand Sport
First car that came up. You can clearly know by looking at my search history, with this being the first one that pops up, you already know my search history, guys. You already know.
The first thing that pulls up is a 2013 Chevy Corvette C6 Grand Sport.
Take a look at this guy. It’s a rare color. Let’s see, what color is that? Cobalt blue? Yeah, cobalt blue.
It’s got headers, intake, basically a full bolt-on car.
They want $43,000 for an automatic Grand Sport.
Get out of here. I’m not even going to look at that anymore.
That’s crazy. That is actually diabolical behavior.
2021 BMW R-Series 719 Edition
Next on the list.
Now, my wife wouldn’t let me ever get one of these. Otherwise, I would totally do it.
This is like the most baller thing you can get. If you got one of these, you basically look like a straight-up G on one of these.
I’ve always wanted one. Now that I’m married, it’s not going to happen.
However, I think maybe I could convince my wife that if we had a big enough garage someday, I could put one of these on the wall and at least say I had one, just not ride it.
It’s a 2021 BMW R-Series 719 Edition.
If you don’t know what that is, it’s literally like the dopest street bike ever.
This one’s got red and silver fairings. It’s got 24-karat gold-wrapped front fairings, red wheels, and diamond-stitched leather seats.
Yeah, that’s dope.
Only $21,000 too.
2010 Aston Martin Vantage V8
Next on the list here, it’s a 2010 Aston Martin Vantage V8.
This is like the most old-man color I’ve ever seen in my life.
It’s red over peanut butter.
My wife loves peanut butter interiors. Babe, you like peanut butter interiors, don’t you? Yeah, she loves peanut butter interiors.
I think it looks good on the right, unique color. Purple over peanut butter, yes. Lime green over peanut butter, yes.
But red over peanut butter, unless you’ve got aftermarket wheels on it or some window tint, you’re starting to get into the realm of looking like a boomer.
So I’m not a fan.
But this car, it’s a V8, so it’s got the 4.7 liter with sports shift. It’s got the sports pack, whatever that means.
I don’t know. I don’t know a whole lot about Aston Martins.
They want $48,000 for it. They had it listed at $52,000, and the only reactions this thing got are laugh reacts.
That tells me this car is probably way too much.
2001 Chevrolet Corvette Z06
This is a fun one.
This definitely trips my trigger.
2001 Chevrolet Corvette Z06.
If you know me, you know I love Z06s. I am convinced that they are the best car ever made, because they are.
They are literally the best car ever made. I mean, not really, but for the money, yeah.
Obviously, the best car ever made is a McLaren F1, but not everyone has $30 million laying around, so you got to compromise.
This one is jet black over red, so it’s got the red accents to it.
This one is listed at $21,000. It’s got 140,000 miles on it.
I love that. I love seeing sports cars with high miles.
You go look at a Ferrari ad, and it’ll be a 360 Modena. They’ll have the thing listed for 80 or 90 grand, whatever a 360 goes for these days, and it’ll be at 50,000 miles.
People are commenting, and they’re like, “Oh my god, that’s high miles.”
It’s like, bro, for real? That thing’s just hardly getting broken in if it were my car.
But anyways, this one’s got a Corsa Extreme. It’s got cold air intake. Pretty much the basics.
It’s crazy to me how much these cars have gone up in value.
I bought in 2018. It was an 03 Z06. It was torch red, and it had a stroked LS3, a Kenne Bell supercharger, and RPM stage four transmission.
I paid $20,000 for that car.
Bruh, this thing’s 21 with 140,000 miles. By the way, mine only had around 30,000 miles on it.
This thing’s got 140,000, and they’re asking 21 for it.
And they’ll probably get that for it because the Corvette market right now is crazy.
Cars that would have been going for 28,000 are going for 40 to 50.
If you’ve been paying attention to the C6 ZR1 market, that was a $55,000 car five or six years ago.
That’s a $130,000 car now.
I was at Cars and Coffee with one of my friends over the weekend, and we walked by a ZR1, and I said, “This is the car to get.”
And he goes, “Oh yeah, if it’s $50,000, that’s one of the best cars you can get.”
I’m like, brother. Brother, that’s like a $130,000 car.
It was a Jetstream Blue ZR1.
Honestly, if I were to spend that kind of money on a car, it would totally be a ZR1 because it’s basically just a Z06 on crack.
