Hello, Kansas City and welcome back to the Bespoke Refinement Podcast. We are so happy to have you guys on and just talking about cars and detailing and Kansas City cars and really anything car related. It’s just really fun to talk about and enjoy those conversations.
So, well guys, up next on the list of cars, you know, we’re doing a podcast right now talking about the best cars. So, up next we will be talking and the cars that I would want to have in a dream garage. So, up next on that list guys is going to be the Porsche 911 Carrera GT or excuse me just the Porsche Carrera GT.
Now, this is a car that when it came out, you know, it was I think it was like $300,000. They were not that much. I don’t think the MSRP was like over $400,000 and now these cars are pushing over, you know, $3 million in some instances.
These cars are insane and they’re beautiful. They sound good. They look good.
I love the Carrera GT for multiple reasons. I think that there’s a lot of unique color combinations that people come up with with the Carrera GT. I mean, we have a Kansas City car detailing customer who has a Miami Blue Carrera GT.
I’ve also seen them in yellow, which as you guys know is the best color ever, but they make them in silver. They make them in, I’ve seen them in gold before. I mean, there’s just and what they did with that car was so beautiful.
I mean, Porsche took, Porsche hadn’t made a super car since the 959. Now, when I say a super car, I really mean like a hyper car and they created something that I’ve never seen anything like it since. I mean, the Carrera GT, that V10 sounds beautiful.
Just beautiful and the way it builds power. I mean, I’ve driven a Carrera GT. I’ve driven a silver one and it’s mind-blowing how good that car is, how good that car makes power, how beautiful it looks.
I mean, from every angle you look at a Carrera GT, it looks good and photos don’t do it justice of that car. I mean, in person, it just, it’s got that wide mouth and I mean, just an incredible car. So, Carrera GT would have to be, if not at the top, damn close to the top because that’s a good car and what’s cool about the Carrera GT for me is that I have driven one.
I have heard the V12 and they’re really cool because they have a really sticky clutch. So, they’re not sticky but a very stiff clutch and you’ll notice if you ever drive a Carrera GT, when you take your foot off the throttle, it’s very sensitive but it engages really quickly. So, you don’t have much time when driving a Carrera GT from the moment you let your foot off the throttle to giving it power because it’s just, it’s just really fast how it builds power and but I mean, what an incredible car.
What an incredible car, the Porsche Carrera GT. Alright guys, up next on my list is going to be a Mark 4 Toyota Supra. Now, in order to understand the Toyota Supra, I think you first got to realize why most guys dream about owning these cars because there’s different, there’s different eras of people that appreciate the Toyota Supra.
For me, I remember first learning about the Toyota Supra when I watched the Fast and the Furious. Paul Walker had the orange Toyota Supra. It had the Roman soldier’s fist flying through the air on the side of it and that was what made me fall in love with the Toyota Supra as a kid and then as I began watching Fast and Furious and they made different movies and I kept researching it more but what made me want to own a Toyota Supra was when I started watching these videos of merge of people street racing them.
I mean, these cars were making 1200 horsepower on a stock bottom end 2JZ. They were known to be bulletproof. They were known that, you know, if you built one to 700 or 800 horsepower, it was going to hold, the engine was going to withstand all that power and you could drive it anywhere you wanted.
You could use all the power, you could beat on it and drive it anywhere. So, the Marks Wars Supra was a poster car for me once I started learning about how well the car can make power reliably and, you know, I would say if I got one, what I would have to do to it. Obviously, a good set of aftermarket wheels.
I wouldn’t do it completely like the car in the first Fast and Furious. However, I would do that body kit. So, not going to say it would be orange.
I don’t think I could do an orange Supra but I would do the full still in body kit on that car and then I would try to find that same wing. I don’t even know if APR makes older flat double bladed wings like that anymore but if they did, that would be the move on that car for sure and honestly, I think a silver one would look really, really good. Yeah, I think they’d look really good.
