Hello and welcome back to the Bespoke Automotive Refinement Podcast. We are the one-stop shop for Kansas City Auto Detailing Services. I am your host, owner, and founder, Thomas Till.
And today, guys, we’re going to be talking about protecting your car’s paint for wintertime. Now, we’ve all seen it. Come wintertime, we’re driving our nice vehicle through the snow, the ice, the slush.
And after the snow has melted and we go to wash our car, get that white sticky substance that just holds right onto the clear coat. You know what I’m talking about. You got to sit there and you got to scrub it off as hard as you can.
And sometimes you gotta get it with your fingernail. Sometimes you have to clay bar it.
Sometimes you have to use other harmful chemicals on the clear coat to get these de- icers and these road salts off of your paint.
Now, there are so many different myths about what will protect your vehicle’s paint from road salts and de-icers. And that’s what we’re going to be talking about today. So let’s start with spray wax.
Does spray wax actually do anything? Does spray wax actually fix this problem? The short answer, no. See, spray wax is a silicone-based spray that doesn’t actually bond to your clear coat. Therefore, it doesn’t stick to your clear coat.
It sticks to the fibers on the outside of your clear coat. So when you drive your car in the snow and the ice and it gets wet, since that spray wax isn’t sticking to the actual finish, the actual clear coat finish, it’s sticking to the fibers on the outside of the finish. That spray wax begins to fall off.
Now, the next question people ask is, what about detail spray? What if I use detail spray on my paint, right? Detail spray seems like it makes your paint pretty slick. Well, we actually use detail spray at Bespoke Automotive Refinement, Kansas City Auto Detailings, number one one-stop shop for all detailing. And we also can tell you with 100% certainty that spray detailer does not prevent road salts and de-icers from harming your paint.
Because of what I discussed before with the spray wax, detail spray does not actually stick or bond to the clear coat. It sticks to the fibers on the outside of the clear coat. And when the vehicle gets wet and those de-icers begin to stick to the clear coat, the clear coat begins to shed itself of the detail spray, causing your paint to then have deicers sticking to it.
So, you’re probably asking yourself, what is the best way to protect my paint from road
salts and de-icers that are coming up this winter? Well, guys, I have an amazing, amazing announcement for you. We offer a Kansas City Auto Detailing service that will protect your vehicle’s paint for up to five years. That’s right, in five years your vehicle will be protected from road salts, de-icers, harmful chemicals, bug etchings, bird gut etchings, all of these things.
And all you have to do is book with one of our Kansas City Auto Detailing services that we are applying a ceramic coating to your vehicle’s paint and you can get your vehicle protected today. So, let’s talk about it. What is a ceramic coating? Does it work? Is it snake oil? No, it’s not.
Here’s why. Ceramic coating, rather than being a silicone-based product that sits on top of the clear coat and attaches itself to the fibers on the exterior of your clear coat, a ceramic coating actually bonds to the clear coat. It fills its way into the pores in the clear coat, allowing itself to dry and then becoming one with the clear coat.
Now, this Kansas City Auto Detailing service that we offer, which is ceramic coating, has many different benefits outside of protecting your vehicle’s paint from harmful chemicals. It’ll protect your vehicle’s paint from light scratches. It’ll protect your vehicle’s paint from fading.
It’ll protect your vehicle’s paint from UV rays. It’ll protect your vehicle’s paint from scratching and micro-marring. It’ll protect your vehicle’s paint from harmful chemicals and elements.
Now guys, I can assure you that a ceramic coating is one of the most important things that you can put on any vehicle you own. Whether you own a Chrysler minivan or a brand new Ferrari, it doesn’t matter. No matter what, a ceramic coating is something that your vehicle needs to ensure it’s protected from harmful chemicals, harmful UV rays, light scratching, and just everyday use.
Think about protecting your investment. No matter what type of vehicle you own, no matter how much you spend on it, and no matter how much it’s worth, you deserve to have a vehicle that is properly protected and properly coated and when you purchase one of our Kansas City Auto Detailing Services where we apply the ceramic coating, you will not only be thrilled with the result, but you will also be happy that you did it because your vehicle will be protected from harmful UV rays, harmful chemicals, and other harmful things in the environment that can cause your vehicle’s paint to fade out over time. Now people ask, how much does it cost to have a ceramic coating done? This is an awesome question.
This is one of my favorite questions that people ask whenever booking one of our Kansas City Auto Detailing Services. A ceramic coating price can vary because of the prep work that goes into applying the coating. Before we apply the coating, we make sure that your vehicle’s paint is perfected or as close to perfect as you want it.
Number one, allowing the paint to accept the coating. And number two, making sure that when we seal that finish in, it’s perfect and we’re not sealing in scratches and dents and dings. We want to make sure that your vehicle’s paint looks as perfect as possible before applying this coating.
And no matter what, we know that purchasing one of our ceramic coating packages with our Kansas City Auto Detailing Services, you will have a perfected paint job after we perform one of our paint correction services, and then after ceramic coating the vehicle, it will not only be perfected, but it’ll also be protected.
