Hello, Lee Summit. Welcome back to the Red Kingdom Cleaning Podcast. I’m so glad you joined me today on this beautiful, beautiful summer day.
The sun is shining, everyone’s just out walking around. What a great time to be alive. Today on the show we’re gonna be talking about the top questions that we get asked by people that are looking to have their Lee Summit home cleaning service done.
Now number one, people ask where does Red Kingdom Cleaning service? So obviously we do Lee Summit home cleaning service because we’re based out of Lee Summit, but we also service Grain Valley, Greenwood, Independence, any area around here. Basically it’s within about a 20 minute radius of Lee Summit. We also have the Liberty, Kearney area.
We have a client up there. So anywhere either like Liberty area, Independence, Lee Summit, kind of this southeast area of Kansas City we currently service. Our goal is to someday service other areas of Kansas City, but that is currently what we have.
Number two, what is the difference between a deep clean and a maintenance clean? Now a Lee Summit home cleaning service is really customized to you. For some people a deep clean is just a very thorough regular clean. For us a deep clean is we literally touch every surface of your home and usually people do it for the initial clean because it’s a full reset on your home.
That way we can maintain it really well or it’s every six to twelve months. So it’s not a super common thing at least in our standards. Now we can customize it to you if you’re like I want a maintenance clean but I would like these things done and that’s not usually taken care of on our maintenance clean.
We can do that for you. That’s the benefit of working with Red Kingdom Cleaning is we’re high quality. We customize it to you.
But a deep clean we go in and we do the interiors of your kitchen appliances, the inside of your fridge, inside of your oven. We do the exteriors of your cabinets in the kitchen. We do a more thorough deep clean of your master shower.
On a maintenance clean it’s just more of a wipe down because hopefully we’ve already done the deep clean and we just maintain it. And a deep clean allows you know one person to maybe even spend two hours on your shower alone. So a deep clean is just very thorough.
We also do the baseboards, the trim, your doors, the vents in your house, all the light fixtures. So we really do touch basically every surface in your home and that’s all in addition to what we would do in our maintenance clean. In the maintenance clean we take care of your home.
So we obviously dust everything in your home. All the pictures, the fan, the furniture. We clean the bathrooms.
We clean the kitchen. We clean all the rooms that you would like to get done. So if you have a living room, sitting room, dining room, all that gets taken care of.
We do the floors. So it’s more of a maintenance. It’s just a refresh on your home.

So we first book a walkthrough to determine what exactly you want on your Lease Up and Home Cleaning Service. And then we create a custom checklist specific for your home.
So we go through and we say everything that you would want done on your home. And then at the end we send it to you with your quote, so with the price, and you can determine if it’s the best fit for your family. You can also say, hey, I love all of these things but I don’t need the basement done every time.
And usually we kind of talk about it on the walkthrough, but if you’re like, hey I want to change the amount, the easiest way is to remove or add things to your checklist. Or even rotating some things where it’s like, okay, maybe every other time we do this instead of every time. And that’ll obviously reflect on the price.
So we try to estimate how long our cleaners should be there and that’s kind of how we determine the price of it. It’s not based on square footage. That gives us a rough estimate, but there’s a lot of factors that can go into it, like how many staircases, how big is the master bath, how big is the kitchen, things like that.
If you’ve got two ovens, if you’ve got a whole basement that has a separate kitchen, all those things can make a difference in the price. It’s not necessarily reflected in square footage. If you have a lot of decor versus no decor, some houses don’t have any decorations for us to even dust or you’ve got no rug so we don’t have to sweep, mop, and vacuum a room.
So all those things can greatly reflect on your checklist and your quote. The next question, how long does it take to clean a Lees-Summit Home Cleaning Service home professionally? Well that usually kind of depends on your home. So we have some clients that we can send two people and it takes an hour and a half.
Some clients it’s four people for four hours. So it does just depend on your home, how big the square footage is, how much decorations there are, if there’s a rug, how many staircases you have, if you have dogs, if you have kids, all those things can drastically change the price of the home because we’re having to do more things on the home itself, more steps, which obviously reflects in the time. And then the deep clean is different than a move-in move-out clean, which is different than a maintenance clean.
And a monthly is different than a bi-weekly. A monthly will take longer than a bi-weekly even if it’s same square footage because it’s had more time to get dirty in between the times that we’ve been there. So if you know we have to scrub harder in the master shower, it might be more build-up on the stove and sweeping takes a little bit longer versus a bi-weekly.
We’re there every other week and so the home stays fairly clean and so there’s not as much, not as much for us to do, but it’s less than a monthly because there’s less build-up, which will reflect on the price. A monthly is more than a bi-weekly, which is less, like weekly is the least per visit because we’re coming so often that it doesn’t take us as long as a monthly would. And obviously the first few times we’re still trying to find our groove and after a bit they find a really good groove.
Also one of the benefits of having Red Kingdom home cleaning is we send a team, which makes it a lot faster. So we’ll send anywhere from two to four people into your home and instead of taking one person eight hours, it could take two hours with four people. So all of that is kind of the benefit of having a professional team come in is we, literally this is what we do.
So we send the full team in there and they get in there and clean it and you don’t have to worry about your home. It’s all maintained for you. Last question, why do different cleaning companies charge different prices? Well, number one, some people starting out are still learning the processes.
So it takes them a while to kind of figure out even how to quote a home. How long is it gonna take? How much product? How much supplies? Do they have a team? We have a full team. So we’ve got people that have families that have kids and this is really important job for them.
We, you know, a single mom and she’s taking care of her kids. So we always have consistent work for our team. Which some people are trying to figure it out and they’re ever so often.
Also, how good quality is it? We’re very high quality. We touch every surface. We use clean, high-quality products.
We’ve had people come to us that have had cleaning teams and the home never felt clean when they left and it’s because they weren’t really cleaning. They were in and out in about a tenth of the time that we take at a home and they didn’t touch every surface. The home still felt kind of grimy and dirty and they were using old mop water from one bathroom to the next.
Things like that. We’re very thorough. We’re very high quality.
We use great products. They’re gonna keep your home smelling good, feeling good. Also, we’re very careful with what we use on your home.
