So today we will be talking about what is the best one-car solution. Now you’re probably wondering what that means. What is a one-car solution? Well, over the years providing Kansas City car detailing services, I have gotten to see a lot of different clients.

I’ve worked with people who own 20 or 30 cars and I’ve owned, I’ve worked with people who own one to two cars. And a one-car solution is a single vehicle that you can purchase that will provide space, comfort, performance, and the best driving capabilities for all different conditions. So the first vehicle that I’m gonna put at the top of my list for my Kansas City car detailing one-car solution is the Hummer H2.

Why the Hummer H2? Well, because the Hummer H4 is electric and we don’t like electric vehicles here. So the Hummer H2 comes in two different variants. You can either get it with a LS engine, which is also a Corvette engine, which I’m a big fan of.

It’s got both all-wheel drive, rear-wheel drive, and two-wheel drive that can be switched to four-wheel drive. The weight is evenly distributed amongst the entire vehicle. It’s not like a pickup truck where they’ve got a bed in the back that doesn’t really have any weight.
So you’re always fighting fish tails during snowy conditions. They look great. You can do a lot of different modifications to the Hummer H2 to make it look good.

You can lift them. You can put different bumpers on them. They just look good no matter what.

So that’s at the top of my list. The next vehicle on the list is going to be the Dodge Durango Trackhawk. I’m partial to Dodge Durangos.

I’m actually driving one right now. I’ve put about 60,000 miles on my Dodge Durango and I have the GT. I don’t have a Trackhawk, but I think the Trackhawk is an amazing one-car solution because much like the Hummer H2 and other vehicles, the weight is evenly distributed amongst the entire vehicle.

So during the wintertime, driving in the snow and the ice, you don’t have to worry about sliding all around. It’s extremely luxurious. It comes with a nice leather interior.

You have all of the creature comforts that you would in a luxury vehicle. And above all else, you’ve got that 707 horsepower Hellcat engine that honestly can outrun a lot of supercars with a Trackhawk. So that’s number two for me.

Number three would be a Jeep Wrangler Sahara 329. Now I like the Wrangler Sahara. My fiance drives one, but it’s the 4XE.

So it’s a hybrid. I always like giving her a hard time about having a hybrid vehicle, but I believe that the best Wrangler out there is the 429, excuse me, the 329. Actually, I’m mistaken.

It’s not a 329, it’s a 392. It’s a 392 cubic inch V8, the same engine that comes in the scat packs and the non-supercharged version of the Hellcat engine makes 450 horsepower. And I just love Jeeps, especially after driving it in the snow for the last three days, you know, we ended up with like two feet of snow and that Jeep never hiccup one time.

It got through the snow great. It had great traction, great torque, and wasn’t sliding all the way around. The weight was perfectly distributed.

So definitely any Jeep Wrangler, but I’ve got to have a big V8, something that sounds good. So the 392 is at the top of my list with Jeep Wranglers. Next on my list is going to be the Porsche 911 Turbo S. I know, a Porsche 911 for a one car solution.

Well, over the years I’ve offered my Kansas City car detailing services to a lot of different folks around the area. And I know a lot of people, and I have a lot of clients who own just one car. They drive it in the snow.

They drive it in the rain. They literally drive them every day. And that is a Porsche 911 Turbo S. Yes, these cars are all wheel drive.

The weight is perfectly distributed and they get around in the snow impeccably. I’ve actually driven a 911 Turbo S in the snow more than once. And I was extremely impressed with the way it got around.

It didn’t get stuck. It didn’t slide, especially the 991.5 Turbo S. It has an active all wheel drive system that will push power to the front wheels or the rear wheels, depending on how the wheels are spinning. So it’s almost impossible to get one of those stuck.

Really, unless you are caught in really heavy snow that you just can’t push, you know, you’re gonna be pushing snow and ice. The Porsche 911 Turbo S is a great one car solution. I even know people who drive these cars in Colorado and California and they put their snowboards and their skis and a tote box on top of the car and they’ll drive the car up into the mountains in the snow and they’ll spend a couple days skiing and then they’ll drive home and they never get stuck.

Another vehicle on my one car solution is going to be the Subaru Impreza WRX STI. I can speak to this. I owned one of these.

I owned a Hawkeye Limited STI and it got through the snow amazingly. I would actually take it out in a foot of snow and go out in the parking lot and do donuts and just have a blast in the snow. I think they are awesome cars to drive every day.

They’re extremely reliable and they do what they need to do and they’re also really safe and just really reliable cars. And the last car on my list for the Kansas City car detailing one car solution is going to be the Nissan GT-R. This is a car that’s on my dream car list.

It’s definitely one that I’m saving up for and aspiring to own someday. Much like the Porsche 911 Turbo S, the Nissan GT-R is all-wheel drive. It’s active all-wheel drive so it can evenly distribute the power to the front and rear wheels ensuring that the car never gets stuck.

You can modify these cars. There’s guys that daily drive 1000 horsepower Nissan GT-Rs and they’re just great cars to drive year-round. They’re fun, they look good, they get attention everywhere they go, and they’re great for driving in the snow.

They’re also great for taking on road trips. They really don’t break down. They’ll go 100,000 miles with no problem.

So the Nissan GT-R is definitely on my Kansas City car detailing one car solution list.
