We absolutely love talking about cars. We could talk about them literally 25, eight. It’s our favorite thing to do.
And honestly, we spend most of our day talking about cars anyways. In the last episode, we talked about the top best cars, uh, for first time buyers. So best cars for cars, enthusiasts on a budget.
Now, if you have, uh, a teenager looking to buy a car, if you’re looking for a secondary car that you can kind of have some fun in this, be part of your list. So far on the list, we’ve listed a Mazda MX five Miata, a Honda Civic Si, a Ford Mustang, Subaru Impreza WRX, and a Volkswagen GTI. I’m literally looking at WRX is like the one I had for sale.
Oh my gosh, that’s wild. So the rest of this list, we’re going to continue on at number six. It’s modern, lightweight, uh, real wheel drive coupe that’s built for handling balanced chassis, low running costs, still affordable used, not the fastest in a straight line.
That’s just, it’s there’s two here in this line. I don’t know why, but maybe it would explain to the Subaru BRZ and the Scion it is a Subaru BRZ, but not the Toyota GT86. Why are those are the exact? So, so Toyota made their version of it.
Scion made their version of it and Subaru made their version of it, but it’s literally the exact same car. They are so much fun. They are like, they’re not fast.
Um, but they’re really cool looking. I’ll point one out to you the next time I see the next time we see one. But they are, they come in a manual and an automatic.
Um, I about bought one instead of my Corvette because I could have bought a brand new one for what I paid for my Corvette used. They were like 28 grand new. Um, they’re really cool.
They’re just not fast, but they’re really fun. Love it. They’re like a little go cart and they look really cool.
Go really, really look cool in them. That’s important when you’re buying your first car. Looking really cool.
Yeah, I a hundred percent agree. Number seven, stylish, powerful V6 sports car at a low price point. Strong aftermarket, good performance, fun to drive, higher insurance, thirsty on fuel.
V6. So stylish, powerful V6 sports car at a low price point. What brand is it? Uh, it starts with an N as in Nissan, Nissan 370Z? Close.
350Z. Those are fun. You know what those are? They’re really, actually.
So you’re talking about Datsun. They made those cars to commemorate Datsun. Okay.
So Datsun did the 280Z, the 240Z and the 200Z. And then when Datsun went out of business, Nissan picked up and did the 300Z, 350Z, 370Z, they just started making the 400Z. And I had not seen one in person until the other day when I took you to work at your parents, they were unloading a dark red one at the Nissan dealership.
They look so cool. Wow. I would definitely own one.
Okay. They’re really cool. Add to our list of cars you’re going to own someday.
Yes. And number eight, it’s lightweight, reliable with VTEC excitement. Great shifter feel, high revving engine, solid reliability.
Front wheel drive, understeer at the limit. Is it the Honda Civic Type R? Is it VTEC? Nope. I said VTEC? Uh, VTEC.
The Acura Integra? Acura TL? Acura NSX? Mm-hmm. RSX. RSX.
Type S. Type S. Those are so cool. Your face lit up. That’s another one.
I can’t believe I didn’t get that. That’s another one that is really cool. They like, again, it’s one of those cars that you would look at and you would think, um, like, why would you want that? But like, that’s an RSX.
Okay. Yeah. They’re like really sporty looking.
Um, yeah, that’s another one that I want. RSXs are dope. And they know their value really well.
I remember when you could buy one for like $3,500, another like almost $20,000. So they’ve gone up really well. Yeah.
That’s important, man. If you’re buying a car that they do go up. Number nine, go-kart handling in a stylish small package.
Nimble, turbocharged, fun, unique styling. Can have electrical and maintenance quirks. You have owned one of these.
Mini Cooper. Yep. Mine had it.
Yours did a lot of. I had a turbo and it had, um, timing chain issues. It was so bad, but it had, um, it had turbo flutter.
So I, I took the, the, um, the compressor out of the wastegate. So when the, when it would build boost and I would let out, it would go, it’s, it sounded way cooler than what it was. It sounded like, like an old school Toyota Supra or Nissan Skyline.
But it was a mini Cooper. Yeah. But it sounded like it was building boost, just like a Supra.
It was sick. That’s awesome. All right.
Uh, last one on the list. It’s affordable coupe with Toyota reliability, cheap insurance, easy to own, good starter platform. Not as sporty stock, but can be improved with mods.
I don’t recognize the brand. It says Toyota. Um, Toyota reliability.
There’s reliable as a Toyota. It might be a subsection of Toyota. I don’t recognize the brand.
Um, Hmm. It’s kind of different. You don’t recognize it.
What is it? Is it Scion? S C I O N. Yep. Scion. TC.
Oh, those are so lame. Those are lame. You don’t like those? Oh, I mean, that was like the cool car to have when I was in high school.
And I mean, yeah, but Scion made their own version of the FRS. It is literally the exact same car, just different badging, a little bit different styling. Yeah.
That’s cool. Scion. Yeah.
