All right, let’s start number 10 8 it was no surprise to you if you’ve ever listened to even Half of an episode of a podcast, you know This is Thomas’s favorite a Chevrolet Corvette Z06 now it has put the c7 or c8 doesn’t list a c6 What has a z06 they must be wrong It says the ultimate American hype underdog turned supercar slayer Affordable powerful and truck hungry. It’s true.
Best car ever made Z06, why is that? Because it’s fast. It’s fast. I mean you think about it so GM comes out with a car like the Corvette to become a Sports car that’s competing Already with like the looks of a supercar and then they make the z06 and they give it supercar power and supercar handling and they Put it in a tiny little body like a Corvette, it’s just it’s like nothing like it.
Mm-hmm, American made European supercar slayer Number nine is Ferrari LaFerrari. It says hybrid horsepower blended with that iconic prancing horse. Oh yeah, the LaFerrari is Gorgeous I mean just I remember the top gear review of it when top gear was still a show and like the first time I’d ever like seen like a video of a LaFerrari and it’s just Didn’t matter if that car was sitting still or if they were driving it It was beautiful.
Mm-hmm feels full of joy. Yes number eight Now you’ve actually driven this car and I’ve seen you drive it. It’s a Lamborghini Huracan Accessible by Lambo standards flashy and beloved by a new generation of car lovers yeah, I I Like the Huracan a lot Um It’s hard though because it’s slower than a z06 so You know to me the idea of paying under a hundred thousand dollars to get a z06 or pay, you know, 250 for a Huracan and it’d be slower is just a Difficult thing for me to wrap my mind around but I will say they look incredible and they sound Ungodly I sound good.
Yeah all right next we have a Lexus LFA a sleeper cult icon screaming v10 carbon fiber everything and limited production, you know My dad bought an LFA. I really so when that car was new they were like 300 I shouldn’t say he bought it, but He pretty he pretty girl the sale or pretty woman to salesmen. Oh, really? Yeah, he’s like I could write a check for this and it wouldn’t even put a dent in my life But uh he we were in Wichita and I remember it was like 280 or 300,000 and they just weren’t selling new and Now it’s there like a million dollar car like it went from 250 to a million Just because they didn’t sell very many of them and then everyone realized how great they were So I get why that’s on the list and it’s one of the best sounding v10s ever number six We have a 4g t a 2005 and 2017 model specifically an all-american or an American love letter to Lamont with street legal flair I got spoiled as a little kid But the first fast car that I ever rode in was for GT I would have been eight or nine and our neighbor back home got one bought one brand new and he took me for a ride in it and I was just like I Want to be about this life? So the Ford GT holds a special place in my heart for sure Next up.
We have a Bugatti Veyron or Chiron speed royalty built to break records and bank accounts. I Never made and not have the Bugatti on there the Chiron or the Veyron, I mean the amount of like I’ve I’ve watched my friends build cars that are faster in the quarter mile even faster in the half mile than a Bugatti Veyron, but You lose so much reliability You lose the ability to have a car that you can just hop in and you know drive across the country When you build something like that and Bugatti figured out how to build a very reliable car that makes an insane amount of horsepower so Number four is Porsche 911 turbo s Timeless daily drivable and faster than most exotics twice its price What have I said literally the two cars on this whole list or like your top? Yeah, the 911 turbo s I mean You have to experience it to understand it because I remember I used to look at Porsche 911 s when I was like in my early 20s, I was like They just They didn’t do anything for me. I was like, it’s just a European sports car. Then I drove a 911 turbo s and I watched a Client of mine literally him and his wife both had them.
He had one and his wife had one and I watched his wife use it as a daily driver to pick up their son from daycare and then you know, she drove it in the snow and Then I saw how He used to use a street racer He used his to like go travel all over the Midwest and street race it So I was able to see how fast they were however a lot how usable they were and how reliable they were. So Yeah, the 911 turbo s is not A slouch. It is a Very good car and you can drive it every day, which is like you can literally drive it.
It could be your only car Next up we have number three McLaren p1 Hybrid hyper car magic with insane tech and a silhouette straight out of sci-fi The p1 is timeless I mean It is like the first car that was ever made that we saw what hybrid technology in a supercar a supercar could do like they took the they took a 700 horsepower twin turbo v8 out of a McLaren 650 and they paired it with a 500 horsepower electric engine and they put them together and it was like the first time we had ever seen that I remember when the p1 came out. It was just like it was this futuristic like Honestly, it was like witchcraft Seeing what it could do on the track. It was literally like Something that was not of this earth and Yeah, and it’s cool too because they were like 800,000 new and now they’re up to like 2 million.
That’s another one that just shot up in value. Yeah Number two is another one of your favorites, a Lamborghini Aventador, a raging bull with scissor doors and an unforgettable v12 roar. The Lamborghini Aventador and I will literally go to war over this. We can go nuclear Lamborghini Aventador. Has the best sounding v12? ever ever it’s high-pitched it’s Yeah, like you’re a fan. I’m a fan.
I had a really good friend in Wichita who bought one and he let me drive it a couple of times. I’ve driven it four times and It Sometimes it’s hard. It’s like a car guy. You know you watch videos of a car and you hear it From the outside and then you get in it and you drive it and you’re like, this is so underwhelming. It’s quieter than you imagined the Lamborghini Aventador. It’s not like what you see on videos is literally what it’s like in real life driving one, they’re just It’s one of the last true analog Lamborghinis and the SVJ Hall Fan big fan over here.
All right, last one. What do you think is the top car? What do I think is the top car? Okay, so if we are going a whole brand we’ve talked about yet Huh, there’s a whole brand. We’ve not even talked about the Porsche Lamborghini Pagani Nope Ford.
No talk about Ford. There’s that. Oh actually We did take that back. What’s repeating I can’t tell you what you think would be the top car Based on your own opinion, what do you think is the number one now that it has to be like this exact one? But what do you think would happen? Probably the best all around to be the Porsche 911 turbo Well, they already did that one Yeah.
Oh, I have to pick one. That’s not on the list. Yeah.
So we have a list number one yet. Oh, um What do you think number one is damn? Koenigsegg Nope Audi r8. Nope Do you know what it is? Yep, Dodge Viper.
Nope. What is a Ferrari f40? Oh Man, no, don’t hurt Chris’s feelings. He used to have one of those Yeah, f40 is crazy, man Like the closest thing you can get to like an actual race car that you can drive on the street.
