Hello and welcome back to the Bespoke Automotive Refinement podcast, the one-stop shop for all of your Kansas City auto detailing needs. Guys, I am your host, founder, owner, and operator of Bespoke Automotive Refinement, Thomas Till. Some call me the One-Eyed Guy.
Some guys call me One-Eyed Willie, but one thing’s for certain, I do in fact have an eye for detail. Guys, today we’re going to be talking about a very controversial topic. Which is better, sports cars or lifted trucks? I’ve owned both, and I’ve worked on both, and obviously, being the owner of a Kansas City auto detailing service, I cater to all different types of years, makes, and models of vehicles.
So what is my favorite? Well, first let’s talk about what are you doing with the vehicle, and where do you live, and what purpose do you have for the vehicle that you’re using? Now, personally, I’m a car guy at heart, and I will always choose a sports car over a lifted truck. Why is this? Well, I like to drive fast. I like torque, and I like cars that are light. Anything from supercars, exotic cars, and hypercars to tuner cars and muscle cars! Everyone loves a Nissan GTR and a Corvette Z06!
I like cars that are agile, and I like cars that are perfectly well balanced. I like taking corners fast, and I like fast acceleration. And these are things that lifted trucks don’t offer.
These are things that lifted trucks can’t do. You can’t take a corner at 120 miles an hour in a lifted truck. Well, you can, but then you’re going to have to have to hire our Kansas City auto detailing service to buff out all the scratches after you fly off the side of a cliff.
Now, the argument is, well, you can do more with a truck. Not a lot of people know this about me, but when I first started my Kansas City auto detailing career, I was a mobile detailing service being run out of the back of my Corvette. That’s right.
When I showed up to my clients’ houses to detail their vehicles, I showed up in a Corvette. It wasn’t a fancy Corvette. It was an old 90s Corvette that I had all of my tools, chemicals, and washing supplies stuffed into the back of a Corvette. There was always a look of surprise and shock on customers’ faces when I showed up to detail their car, truck or SUV in a small Corvette! It always led to lots of conversation and overtime it dubbed me the mobile detailer who started his business out of the back of a Corvette! We obviously don’t use the Corvette anymore for our mobile detailing services but it made for an amazing story!
So my argument has always been that you can, in fact, live with a sports car as an everyday vehicle, and you can use it just like you can a truck. Now, do you live in a rural area out in the country down a dirt road? If so, one might argue and say, you’ve got to have a lifted truck to get down those dirt roads, to get down those rough trails and paths. Well, I say that you can even do these things with a sports car, but I do recommend that you hire us out for our Kansas City auto detailing services to have us apply a 10H ceramic coating on your vehicle, more specifically your sports car, before you take it down dirt roads.
This will keep your paint protected from sandblasting , light rock chips, and plus, if you’re
driving your sports car down dirt roads, you’re obviously going to be washing it a lot. So this Kansas City Auto Detailing 10H ceramic coating is going to help protect your paint when you go to wash all of the dirt, dust, and rocks off of it. It’s going to help prevent scratching, micro-marring, and hazing from re-washing the car over and over and over again.
My favorite argument of any lifted truck owner, more specifically my girlfriend, is that you can’t break through a barrier or bust through a roadblock in a sports car. Well, my argument is this. Have you ever seen the Dukes of Hazzard? The Fast and The Furious? Gone in Sixty Seconds? If you can’t bust through it, you jump it.
Now, obviously after jumping your 69 Dodge Charger through the air, we do recommend that you hire out our Kansas City auto detailing services to buff out all the scratches and all of the chips from landing the car, but you 100% can use a sports car for an everyday vehicle over a lifted truck. And plus, you can’t outrun the cops in a lifted truck, but you certainly can in a sports car. Guys, this has been a funny topic to talk about today, but I’m a huge car guy.
I love sports cars, supercars, hypercars, and even tuner cars!, But I love trucks too. I love anything on four wheels. I recommend that if you get a truck, or if I were to ever get a truck, it would have to be something like a Dodge SRT TRX or a Ford SVT Shelby Raptor, because you gotta have torque.
Guys, thank you so much for tuning into this podcast. I hope you’ve enjoyed the topic. I hope it’s made you think.
I hope it’s made you analyze. Could I use a sports car as an everyday driver, or should I stick to my lifted truck? But whether you decide to use one or the other, either way, I recommend you hire out Bespoke Automotive Refinement to take care of all of your Kansas City auto detailing needs, because we are here to make sure that your paint is protected, your leather is protected, and your car is always as clean as it could absolutely be. Thank you so much for tuning in today, guys.
