Now we started this segment a couple weeks back and basically what we’re doing is we go and choose a random city.
We select a random city on Facebook marketplace and we look at cars for sale on the marketplace and say is it a good deal? Is it not a good deal? Is it something I would buy? We go over the modification list because one thing about me that you guys need to know is I love, I love browsing Facebook marketplace for cars. It’s like another side hobby of mine. If I could figure out how to make money scrolling through Facebook marketplace looking at deals I would.
It’s just my passion. So today we are looking at Atlanta, Georgia Kansas City ceramic coating. Let’s get started.
First on the docket is a 2013 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500. Now this post has nine laughs so I’m willing to bet that that’s yeah yeah that’s too much. They want $67,500 for this car.
Nah. All right so right off the bat the ad sucks. I mean it’s got one photo of the front end of the car, one photo of the passenger side, another photo of the passenger side, a photo of the front of the car with the door open but it’s like half of the car, no photos of the interior.
This is terrible. It is a glass back which is pretty cool. I’m not like a huge Mustang guy even though secretly I am.
I don’t like admitting it. I don’t like the world knowing that I like Mustangs but the reality is I do. I just think certain Mustangs are cool.
Like if you have a V6 Mustang or even a 5.0 base I don’t think they’re cool but if you’ve got a Shelby or a Roush I grew up with a Saleen in my garage growing up. My parents had a couple of them so I really do like some Mustangs. I just don’t like telling the world.
So back to this car. It’s got the track pack. It’s deep in black blue with the matte black stripes.
It’s got the glass back package which is I mean in the S197 I guess is pretty cool. I think it’s cooler in the S550 personally. It’s got 373 gears, four performance packages.
I don’t know. I think $67,000 is too much for this car but I will say with it being a 2013 it is the 664 horsepower package which is 10 horsepower more than a C7 Z06 which if you’ve been paying attention to the show the last few weeks you know that I’ve been on a C7 Z06 pick. Why? Because we’re getting one this year.
We are getting a C7 Z06 in 2026. It is going to be the bespoke refinement. I guess you could call it our mascot car if you will.
So anyways next on the list is a 1993 Hummer H1 wagon for $121,000. I don’t know man. I mean I think these are pretty cool.
I have a Kansas City Ceramic Coating client with one of these. Actually I didn’t know that these were that expensive. There’s more of a baller than I thought he was.
Okay well let’s take a look at this. It’s got some really aggressive off-road tires. It’s got the metal front bumper that goes over the hood.
It’s white. Oh what’s it got for an engine? Oh, it’s got the 550 Duramax LMM. All right.
Can you imagine an old school Hummer with a Duramax? That is actually dope. It’s white with gunmetal gray wheels. That is sick.
That is sick. I mean $125,000 that’s entry-level Porsche 911 GT3 money. Would I rather have a 911 GT3 over a Hummer H1 with a Duramax? Yes.
But if I already had one of those I would totally totally look into this. Next up on this list. Okay my wife has totally heard me talk about these cars so many times.
I bet she’s probably tired of it. But honestly yeah. Okay Kansas City Ceramic Coating.
So next on the list is a 2007 Corvette C6 Z06. Okay obviously if you guys have been paying attention to this show you know I had one of these and I swear up and down it is the best car ever made. It’s really like the best car under $50,000 is a C6 Z06.
505 horsepower, 427 LS7 V8 naturally aspirated, six-speed Tremec transmission. The car is partially carbon fiber, partially titanium, and magnesium. I mean it’s a supercar for under 50 grand.
And when I had mine I was spanking supercars. I beat a Ferrari 430, I beat a Ferrari 360, I beat a Lamborghini Gallardo LP and pre-LP. I mean those cars make more power but my car was lighter.
So this one’s actually really not that bad. It’s $37,000. It’s fully built so it’s got a dart and block.
We’re not going to go through everything. The big thing that this car has, it’s got a GPI Holley Hi-Ram with like that big intake sticking out of the front end of the intake manifold. What are those called? I guess it’s just a GPI Holley Hi-Ram.
It’s got a Holley fuel system. It’s got a built TR6060 with a McLeod RXD 1200 stage 3 clutch. SLP loud mouth rear exhaust.
I actually had that exhaust on my first Corvette. It’s on nitrous. Holy crap dude.
The car makes 700 wheel NA on a 200 shot. Bump it up to a 300 shot. I mean guys that’s a thousand horsepower car for less than $40,000.
That’s a good deal. I’m all about that and it’s already got a drag pack on it. The only thing I don’t like about it, the only thing I don’t like about it is that it’s got that Motion Weight Race Works Cletus McFarlane steering wheel.
The problem is I know him and so it would be weird to have a car with a steering wheel on it when it’s your friend’s car because it’s like it’s hard to be like a fan boy of a friend. So I would take that off literally the next day. But the red white and blue steering wheel is pretty dope I will admit.
